About These Tools

Both calculators are built specifically for the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO). The returns calculator is backward-looking — it uses actual monthly closing prices and quarterly dividend distributions to show what really happened during any period since VOO's inception in September 2010. The dividend income calculator is forward-looking — it projects future income based on adjustable assumptions about dividend growth and price appreciation.

Together, they give you two complementary views: what VOO has done historically, and what it could do going forward under different scenarios. Neither tool provides investment advice. For more context on the fund itself, see our complete guide to VOO, or explore VOO's dividend history and current holdings.
